Oh what a night!

It's cheesy and very cliche' to start a blog post with "It's hard to find the right words to describe how I'm feeling..." and I really strive to be neither of those things. However, now that I've taken an almost two-hour nap (hallelujah!), I'm still just sitting here with a very dreamy smile on my face. There was wonderful food and amazing CAKE! with wine and bubbly, but most of all, I was able to have almost all of my favorite people come and see what I've been up to.

I was told that it was a bit ambitious to put together a party in the amount of time we had, but we didn't stress about it. I mean, until the last 15 minutes beforehand when we realized we HAD NO FORKS. I knew that if I put the invitation out, my people would be there! And they were. I'm so grateful to be able to do something I truly love, five minutes from home- and to be able to have the means to share it with as many people who want to listen to me blab on about it makes me want to burst with gratitude. My kids were there until almost the very end! (Teenagers on a Saturday night at their mom's work?! Lucky me.)

My parents couldn't make it because I guess they needed to visit my older sister and her kiddos in San Francisco and didn't check with me first, some of my best friends are out of town and state (and country!), but man are the most important things in this life our people. I'm a broken record, but I won't ever stop saying thank you to be able to have such supportive, loving family and friends who will always show up, no matter what. It means the world.
